Blackbelt Tests are Friday, June 1st and Color Belt Tests are Saturday, June 2nd.
We have a Tentative date of October 27th set at The Baptist Bible College for our 2012 fall Martial Arts America Tournament. As soon as that date is confirmed I will be sending out notices to all. Last years event was a huge success so I hope you all put this date on your calendar and plan on helping us making our 2012 Tournament even better!
April 21st is our MACC Foundation 5 K run in Ankeny. Then over to Cedar Rapids to see Mrs. Stoll, Mrs. Lindberg, Mr. Heckathorn and Mr. Anderson test for their next belts.
May 5th Two Rivers is having a tournament at S.E. Polk
September 15 will be our annual MACC Foundation board break at Valley West Mall.
Tae Kwon Do and Tiny Tiger classes in Grimes will temporarily be held at 112 N. Ewing St., in Grimes due smoke damage at the Grimes Center.
We are sponsoring a MAA snowman contest. The winner to be announced at our April test and will receive a new uniform. So get out there and make your snowman that depicts MAA and tae kwon do. Send us your pictures and I will post them on our facebook page.
We will have our February test on the 3rd and 4th, with all students testing for their black belts on Friday evening and all other students testing Saturday.
Pick up your test apps from your instructors, or down load them on line as soon as possible so you can get them in before Thursday, February 2nd. We will start enforcing the extra $5.00 charge for late test apps so please help us and your instructors' out by getting those in, in plenty of time.
The main school in Ankeny will be open to any of our Branch students from now until January. However we will be closed the following days: December 24th, 25th, 26th and then January 1st and 2nd.

We had an amazing couple test days, Friday and Saturday!! I am so excited about getting to know the 24 new brown belts that will be joining us at our Wednesday and Friday night classes.
Mr. Albaugh and Mr. Martin both had great tests for their temporary black belts and having Master Jung there for the higher Black Belts Test Saturday afternoon was really a highlight!!
Thanks to all of our fantastic Black Belts it was another very successful Tae Kwon Do test!
Just want to thank everyone for helping to make this years tournament the best ever!! Thanks to all of the participants that competed with great attitudes, making new friends from other schools. Thanks to the black belts, who spent their day intently judging with the hopes of giving all competitors their full attention and loads of encouragement. Thanks also to the parents and the many spectators who watched as their children and friends showed off their martial arts skills.
Mr. Wells and I are so proud to be associated with all of the fine people who spent that Saturday with us.
