  • Am I too old or too young to start or restart Taekwondo?
We have a Tiny Tigers program that is age appropriate for our younger students (ages 4 to 6). Our regular program is for students 6 and older. You are never too old to start! We have students that are 60+ and active. If you have concerns, come in and see us.
  • How often do I need to attend class?
We urge you to attend every class that you can as mastery is gained through repetition. However, colored belts should be attending class at least 2 times per week, three is preferred. Brown belts and higher should be attending at least 3 classes per week with one of those a brown/black belt class on Wednesdays or Fridays. You will need a minimum of 300 classes to test for your temporary black belt. The schedule above will achieve this.
  • How much does it cost?
You can find out dues here: Click on a branch for details. If you have any questions, please stop in and talk to Master Sledge.
  • Do I need any prior experience?
No. Prior experience is great, but we will teach you all that you need to know.
  • When is the best time to start?
The answer is TODAY! We accept students at any time, stop in to any branch and we'd be happy to get you started! Testing and promotions occur every two months, February, April, June, August, October, and December.

Our school is affiliated with Jung's Tae Kwon Do Academy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Grand Master Woo Jin Jung is a 9th degree Grandmaster of Tae Kwon Do and was promoted by General Choi, the founder of Tae Kwon Do. You can read more about GM Jung at
  • Do I have to break boards?

Most likely. Come talk to Master Sledge and he will work with you to see if your background is similar to our program. We will then work with you to bring you up to speed.
